Conditions

Aged 50 years or above

2.

Have a clean certificate of character/ police clearance

3.

Make an initial transfer of USD 1,500 to a Mauritian bank account

4.

Transfer funds of USD 1,500 per month in the local bank account

NOTE:

1. Holder of Retired permit may invest in a business provided he/she

Is not employed in the business; and
Does not derive any salary or employment benefits from business.

2. The Dependents of Retired non-citizens are eligible to apply for a Residence Permit.

Dependents are defined as spouse (including Common Law Partner of the opposite sex), parents, and dependent children including stepchildren or lawfully adopted children who are unmarried and not engage in any gainful activity. Residence permit, allowing them to live in Mauritius for the same duration as the main holder.
